Preventative Care
Practicing preventative dentistry allows us to effectively help you reach your oral health care goals and maintain them for a lifetime.
Comprehensive Exams
A complete oral exam including dental history, periodontal charting, oral cancer screening, baseline intra oral photos, clinical screening for cavities, occlusion and TMJ evaluation
Routine Exams
Periodic cavity check and oral screening after routine cleaning
Emergency Exams
Problem focused exams to diagnose the cause of dental pain or address trauma to teeth, bone or oral tissue.
Adult and Child Cleanings
Teeth cleaning or dental prophylaxis should be performed twice annually as a preventive measure. For periodontal patients every 3-4 months is recommended. It should be noted that gum disease cannot be completely reversed, but with more frequent cleanings it can.
Oral Hygiene Instruction
Educating our patients on proper brushing and flossing techniques helps them maintain a healthy mouth in between dental visits.
Digital Radiographs
Digital radiographs are invaluable in diagnosing, treating, and maintaining dental health. Exposure time for digital radiographs is extremely minimal.
Sealants
Dental sealants protect the depressions and grooves of your teeth where plaque and bacteria are hard to reach. They provide a barrier to prevent acids from damaging your enamel.
Gum Disease Treatment
Periodontal (gum) disease is an infection of the tissues that hold your teeth in place. Left untreated it will result in bone and tooth loss. Deep scaling and or more frequent cleanings can help disrupt the progression of the bacteria that causes gum disease.
