New Patients:

 

Your first visit with Lowcountry Dentistry will ideally be a comprehensive exam. This exam includes

 

  • a review of your medical and dental history
  • an intra oral photo tour of your mouth
  • an oral cancer screening
  • a periodontal screening
  • Charting all of your existing dental work
  • Diagnosing any cavities or dental concerns you may have

 

Prior to your first visit please let us know if you have a medical condition that may be of concern (i.e., diabetes, high blood pressure, artificial heart valves and joints, anxiety, pregnancy etc.) We will need to verify any pre-medication protocols with your cardiologist or orthopedic surgeon before any treatment.  

 

If your previous dentist has taken x-rays recently please request that they forward them to our office. If additional x-rays are necessary, they can be taken here. All x-rays should be sent to office@lowcdent.com. If you currently have dental implants please let us know.  

 

Please provide all dental insurance information when scheduling your first appointment so that we may determine if there will be any out of pocket cost for your visit.  We will file with all dental insurances with the exception of Medicaid.

For your convenience we accept Cash, Checks, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. Care Credit is also offered if additional financial payment plans are required. Payment is due at the time service is rendered unless other arrangements have been made in advance.  If you have questions regarding your account, please contact us at 843-821-2500. We will be happy to review your account with you.

 

Please remember you are fully responsible for all fees charged by this office regardless of your insurance coverage. The dental policy you have is between you, your employer and the insurance company. We gladly file insurance as a courtesy to you.
